Northport’s Second Annual Plein Air Painting Event!
June 20th
-22nd
plein air; to paint outdoors in natural light

On the heels of the overwhelming success of Northport’s First Plein Air Painting Event, the search for the region’s most accomplished plein air painters continues this June in Northport’s Second Annual Plein Air Painting Event. On Friday and Saturday, June 20th and 21st, selected artists will be set up in locations throughout the village painting their interpretations of the scenery that is so unique to Northport. On both days spectators can observe the creative process from start to finish and talk with the artists as they work. Sunday, June 22nd, will feature an exhibition and silent auction for the “wet” paintings at LaMantia Gallery.
The Northport Reader's Theater will be meeting on June 16th, 7:30 at St Paul's United Methodist Church, 270 Main St, Northport. They will be reading Vinny by John Passadino.

Only a little over a month until
the Northport
Community Band, under the
direction of Founder & Musical Director Robert W. Krueger and Associate Director
Donald M. Sherman, reaches a major milestone. On July 3rd,
the group will kick off a gala celebration of 50 uninterrupted seasons of
providing concerts to area music lovers at the Robert W. Krueger Bandstand in
Northport Village on Thursday evenings in July. Concert dates are July
3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st.
