Silverpoint
Workshop at the Art League of Long Island.
Silverpoint is an ancient drawing technique used by artists in the
medieval era. Silverpoint’s elegant and precise lines are created by
dragging a silver rod or wire across a specially prepared surface that
allows the artist to draw fine lines that at first resembles a graphite
drawing, but as the silver interacts with the air it begins to tarnish
creating a warm, darker tonality. Meets at the Art League 10:00am –
4:00pm. Workshop Fee: $115. To register, call (631) 462-5400 or visit
www.artleagueli.org.
