I believe kids and adults would enjoy stamp, coin and baseball card collecting more so, if bar coded and usable in new special ways. Stamps and baseball cards might have a silver thread, such as our money. Coins could have a special chip technology making them usable in other interesting ways, such as monetary connectivity with computers and the ability to listen to music.
